Description
The extremely rare wild Andaliman pepper grows on the island of Sumatra in Indonesia. Hand-picked by local Sumatra islanders, the berries of the Andaliman pepper tree are dried in reed baskets. Once dried, the pepper loses almost 90% of its weight. "Andaliman peppers have an intense lemon aroma and a very subtle cooling effect. We recommend these peppers for seasoning fish, seafood, poultry, Asian dishes, sauces, stews and spreads. This pepper adds a mysterious, incomparable flavour to freshly sliced mango and pineapple.
